Quality of Care - Quality Improvement Initiatives - Regional Quality Improvement
PAC/LAC

The Regional Quality Improvement (RQI) committee is made up of providers such as neonatologists, perinatologists, obstetricians, pediatricians, NICU nurses, and labor & delivery nurses from Los Angeles and Ventura counties. The committee meets three times a year with the goal of developing clinical quality improvement strategies based on current information derived from California Children’s Services (CCS) standards, MCAH data systems such as California Perinatal Quality Care Collaborative (CPQCC), Perinatal Profiles, Office of Vital Records (OVR), Perinatal Dispatch Center, Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD), and Healthy People 2010 objectives. Topics discussed in 2005-2006 included preventing nosocomial infection, accessing your CPQCC data online, and a review of local trends and practices in the induction of labor.
