The Institute of Medicine (IOM) defines quality of care as “the degree to which health services for individuals and populations increase the likelihood of desired health outcomes and are consistent with current professional knowledge.”  In addition to working to increase provider knowledge, and enhancing the health outcomes of women and children in its service region, PAC/LAC is also committed to a number of quality improvement initiatives.
