The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatal and Developmental Medicine seeks a full-time Project Manager for the California Maternal Quality Care Collaborative (CMQCC) for Local Maternal Quality Care Improvement Projects and the California Pregnancy Associated Mortality Review (CA-PAMR). The individual in this 1.0 FTE position will organize, track, and report the work of the multidisciplinary committees and task forces of the Local County Health Jurisdiction Mortality and Morbidity Quality Improvement projects and CA-PAMR Committee for the funding agencies and stakeholders of the CMQCC. In collaboration with project leadership, staff, and committee chairs, this person will research, develop, and publish information for project partners and stakeholders concerning organizational standards, progress, outcome data reporting requirements, and continuous quality improvement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Advanced degree in health science or a related field required (e.g., MS, MSN, MPH). A minimum 5 years’ experience required. An established record of excellent program development, management, and quality improvement skills and experience required. Excellent analytic, written, and verbal communication skills are required. Computer literacy in Microsoft Word is required; proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint and literature review (e.g., PubMed) desired. Also requires a demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse multi-stakeholder groups (i.e., physicians, faculty, data collection and analysis staff, state public health professionals, representatives of business groups, and funding organizations); a basic understanding of the maternity health care system in the state of California and skills in the basic analysis and summary of health outcomes data; a basic understanding of health outcomes research and quality improvement methodologies; and the ability to utilize library and technology systems to research and summarize outcome and quality improvement literature to draft documents and supporting information for use in improving pregnancy outcomes throughout the State. Experience with Internet and database protocols, data security, and some programming experience (e.g., SAS) is highly desirable.
