Subject: UPDATE: SB 1785 Hearing Set May 10th
Good morning everyone,
Just a quick update to let you all know that SB 1785 has been rescheduled to be heard in the Senate Health Committee on May 10th. This had been mentioned as a possible option, so that Sheree Kruckenberg (CHA) could be present. Jennifer Taylor and I may also now be in attendance at the hearing, as we were previously planning to be in Sacramento that day.
We will continue to keep you posted. Please go ahead and mail any postcards that you have collected so that we will receive them in our office by May 5th (next Friday). For those of you that requested Spanish postcards we will have them out to you early next week.
Please continue to call the Senate Health Committee to ask for their support - and let them know the bill will now be heard on the 10th. The last day for committees to meet in the house of origin is May 19th, so it is important that the bill be heard and pass out to a floor vote on the 10th.
Thanks!
-Andrea
