Fostering Quality
The Institute of Medicine (IOM) defines quality of care as “the degree to which health services for individuals and populations increase the likelihood of desired health outcomes and are consistent with current professional knowledge.”
Consequently, our approach is global and aimed at building and strengthening the infrastructure of systems and services that touch women and children. PAC/LAC works with hospitals, community-based organizations, health clinics, health plans and public health organizations to improve the quality of care given to women and children.
In addition to working to increase provider knowledge, and enhancing the health outcomes of women and children in its service region, PAC/LAC is also committed to quality improvement initiatives at every level of care.
