Cindy
Fahey, MSN, RN, PHN - Executive
Director
Ms. Cindy Fahey brings more than thirty
years of maternal child health experience
to her role as the new executive director.
Cindy’s clinical experience is diverse
having worked in almost every area of
maternal child health including Labor
and Delivery, Pediatrics, Perinatal Education,
Ambulatory Care and Public Health. Over
the years she has also been certified
as a childbirth educator, infant massage
instructor and lactation educator. She
holds both a Bachelors and Masters of
Science in Nursing and has been involved
with many community-based organizations
in both Ventura and Los Angeles County
over the years.

Jennifer
L. Pavelka, MA - Research
& Evaluation Manager
Ms. Jennifer Pavelka designs and implements
external evaluations for programs conducted
by multiple clients throughout Los Angeles
County. Jennifer is well trained to execute
PAC/LAC’s evaluation services work;
she earned her Master’s degree in
Public Policy and Management from The Ohio
State University, and her professional research
and personal interests focus on family and
child policy and women's health. Her private
sector, government, and non-profit experience
provide her with a unique perspective in
meeting the needs of PAC/LAC’s evaluation
clients. |

Lisa M. Pettinato, MPH - Program and Public Policy Manager
Ms. Lisa Pettinato brings an extensive reproductive health background to PAC/LAC. Lisa received her Master's degree at UCLA where she majored in Epidemiology with an emphasis on International Health. Lisa's past work includes maternal and child health and HIV research both domestically and abroad. She also has experience working in areas of pediatric oncology, infectious disease and reproductive health in underserved communities. Currently, Lisa serves as co-chair of the Regional Quality Improvement Committee and manages the public policy aspects of PAC/LAC. She also conducts community surveys and hospital based site visits relaying state compiled Maternal and Child Health information from The Perinatal Profiles database. Lisa is also involved in access to care advocacy with various community organizations such as The March of Dimes and MCH Access.

Naveen Sangwan, MBA, MPH- Program and Public Policy ManagerMs. Sangwan brings to PAC/LAC more than seven years of successful health and population program management experience from India. Naveen’s wide range of experience includes program management and support, capacity building, policy formulation, strategic planning, research, advocacy, training, and monitoring and evaluation in the field of Reproductive and Child Health. Naveen has an MBA in Marketing from the University of Kurukshetra, India and an MPH from UNC, Chapel Hill. She is a recipient of the McGaw’s Medal for Academic Excellence and Leadership Potential, UNC, Chapel Hill. At PAC/LAC, Naveen serves as the co-chair of the Perinatal Hospital Based Leadership Committee. She is actively involved in the planning and implementation of continuing education activities and works with community partners to address issues such as breastfeeding, postpartum depression, substance abuse and other aspects of perinatal health.

Sanelly Navarrete - Project Coordinator
Ms. Navarrete is currently in her second year of the Master of Public Health program at UCLA with a focus on reproductive health. She has over five years of clinical and outreach experience in adolescent pregnancy and STD prevention for both LAUSD and Yolo County teens. She has worked with public agencies such as The Yolo County Department of Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health to develop the 2005 summary report on adolescent health and well-being. She has also worked with the Oklahoma State Department of Maternal and Child Health to conduct formative research, including questionnaire design, on physician barriers to providing obstetric delivery services. At PAC/LAC, Ms. Navarrete is currently coordinating the activities of the Birth and Beyond California (BBC): Training and Quality Improvement Project. The BCC is a statewide project to improve hospital breastfeeding rates through capacity building and policy development.

Volunteers
PAC/LAC works with a number of dedicated volunteers who offer diverse skill sets to broaden the capacity of the organization. Volunteer projects are individually tailored to meet the needs of both the volunteer and PAC/LAC, and may incorporate a variety of topics, including public policy, hospital surveys and communication, and crafting the Guidelines of Care.
